The Mission

The Whispers mission is to strengthen the economic and social fabric of the rural South, one ribbon Whisper at a time. Whispers are proudly made in the USA, in Greensboro, Alabama. Each Whisper is hand-crafted by women, especially for women, to help women in Alabama’s Black Belt region combat the area’s rural poverty.

 We are in deed making an impact on the lives of our Whisperers – Kim Grey, who coordinates production, qualified for a Habitat for Humanity home due to her work with Whispers. Come visit Greensboro (population 2700) and see the power of positive change in action – and then stop by PieLab to share a little southern hospitality and a slice of pie.
